Which Number Would You Rather Share?

Money, money, money.

Money, money, money.

A local radio station recently posed this question:

Would you rather publicly share your weight or how much money you make?

I have very strong opinions about weight and finances.

First of all, I think the number on a scale is kind of pointless. I mean, it's an easy way to track weight loss if you have a significant amount to lose, but doesn't tell the full story. My weigh has barely fluctuated in the past two years, but boy has my body changed due to diet and exercise.

As for financial info, I do feel like we'd all be better off if we were more open about money. I never know what to say when setting rates or asking for a raise. Knowing what other people make would be really helpful. That said, I don't want to tell people how much I make. No matter if it's too much or too little, it seems embarrassing!

Where do you stand on this? Would you rather tell the world your weight or how much you're raking in?
